The Start of Solisa’s Journal

So the Saturday night adventure kicked off pretty good, I mentioned doing some posts in character (and I leapt at the opportunity -ObsidianCrane). So it will mostly be point of view stuff. I’ll keep these brief for now and hopefully write in more detail when i remember to record more details like names and such.

The adventure is the March 2013 compilation of the Against the Slave Lords campaign with the extra A0 module adapted to 5th Edition DnD. – ObsidianCrane

The following is an excerpt from Solisa’s journal.

Since I was forced from my home in the Longhall, It was a long repetitious series of life lessons on the cruelty of others that taught me there is protection in numbers. The group of misfits I’ve had the misfortune of being mixed up with this time are seemingly more intelligent than the last lot. It was strange to hear of a town like Darkshelf successfully fending off an assault in these times. And I was right to come here, my suspicions were correct as they always are these days. While I know that the town has grown quite prosperous in recent times, the folk here didn’t do this alone, that much is evident. There is an unusual tension here among the guards as though they were expecting something, yet many of them don’t appear to have been in any recent conflicts. After conferring with the other members of the group, it was evident that the people here may have uncovered something sinister within the depths of the mine. Whether it be a cult that recently moved in or something they’ve unearthed, I feel this may reveal more of what i seek.

It’s clear that most of what we heard prior to arriving here is mostly fabricated to some degree, the mines themselves seem to have breached the lair of a large group of goblins. Our recent venture to investigate the mines ended prematurely with conflict between us and a trio of mounted goblins, the goblins themselves were harmless enough but the wolves another thing. Fortunately there are a devout few in this group that managed to subdue one of the goblins, and while we have garnered much from it. I find myself in doubt once again with my company. One of them has decided to go out of his way to protect the pitiful creature by promising not to harm it if it told us what wished to know. Going so far as to even request clothing for the wretched vermin. While I don’t care for senseless bloodshed, I have little concern as to what happens to the cretin. I need to rest some before another serious attempt at investigating further.
